I totally forgot that I had this thing, but now that I have remembered I suppose I will write a bit. It's getting down to the wire in my classes. I had tests all last week and I research paper that I had to write. I'm glad all that is behind me.
We had to go to Grand Prairie yesterday to get Nathan's high school transcript. He's starting classes in the spring if all goes well. I'm so proud of him. I feel like we have both come a really long way since we started dating. We're good for each other.
I've decided that I need to lose some weight before Ashley's wedding, so Carrie and I made appointments to go see Dr. Hayes on Wednesday. Hopefully this time I can stick with it. I also let her cut my hair for one last time before I start to let it grow. I don't know what Ash wants us to do with our hair for the wedding so I decided I'm not going to cut mine anymore until after September. I made Carrie chop it ALL off. I think this is the shortest it has been since that one very awful perm related hair cut incident. I hope nobody remembers that, but inevitably some of you will.
Nathan and I are going to Clarksville on Tuesday night for Thanksgiving. If we can stand it, we are going to stay until Sunday. That means 4 adults and 6 dogs at my parents house. I'm not sure how that is going to work out. His family doesn't really do anything for Thanksgiving so we are just going to hang out with mine. If Leland doesn't get to come home, we might try to make a trip to Little Rock to see him.
I'm mostly excited for the end of the semester. I have one more test in each of my classes and then I'm finished. I made it through the ENTIRE semester without dropping a class and I'm actually doing pretty well in all of them. For those of you who are familiar with my past school record, this means A LOT coming from me. I'm excited about next semester as well. I'm SO ready to graduate. I applied for an internship in Houston this summer with Southwest Airlines. (I need to talk to Sarah about this since she lives in Houston) I haven't really told anyone about it in case I don't get it, but I've pretty much decided that I want to work for an airline company. If I don't get it, I think I am going to go to Mexico for a couple of months to finish up some school stuff.
I've been thinking a lot about what I'm going to do after I graduate. I need to get out of Austin, and potentially Texas, for a while. I'm thinking either Memphis (yes, still Memphis. I can't get over that place for some reason. Love you, Hollie) or New Orleans for grad school. I'd like to stay in the South, but I want to really get out on my own for a while. I'm not sure what this means for Nathan. He won't be quite finished with his basics when I graduate, but he will be almost ready to transfer somewhere if he wants. That's assuming that he wants to go with me. Yes, i do believe it's nearing "grow up time."
I guess I had more to say than I thought. I'm going to do some laundry and the dishes now and try to clean a bit. I want to get everything done before I leave to go home for the holiday. If I don't talk to you guys, Happy Thanksgiving and I love you all!
